Home Theater & AV Installation in Firewheel

Professional home theater, TV mounting, surround sound, and smart home installation in the Firewheel area of Garland, TX. Covers Firewheel Town Center neighborhoods, new construction builds, and the communities surrounding Firewheel Golf Park.

The Firewheel Area — Where Most of Our Garland Work Happens

Firewheel is probably our single busiest Garland submarket. The combination of newer construction (most homes built 2000-2015), the active Firewheel Town Center commercial district, and the steady pace of new home sales around Firewheel Golf Park means we’re there most weeks — mounting TVs in new move-ins, running surround systems into open-concept family rooms, and doing outdoor installs around the pools that a lot of these homes have.

If you live anywhere east of President George Bush Turnpike and north of Campbell Road, you’re in our Firewheel service area. Same for the neighborhoods wrapping around the golf course and the townhome communities going in along Lavon Drive.

What We See Most in Firewheel Homes

Open-concept family rooms with difficult TV walls. Most Firewheel homes have the great room / kitchen combo that looks beautiful in listings but is acoustically terrible and often has limited options for where to mount the TV. The fireplace wall is usually too high, and the opposite wall is often a half-wall or pass-through to the kitchen. We spend real time on the consultation figuring out the right mounting approach before we drill anything.

Metal stud construction is the default, not the exception. Homes built after 2005 in Firewheel are almost all metal stud construction. This matters a lot for TV mounting — standard wood-stud lag bolts are useless, and the $70 Handy guys don’t know what to do. We use high-capacity toggle bolts rated for the specific TV weight, or install horizontal wood blocking inside the wall for heavy installations.

85-inch TVs are the new normal. Two years ago the bulk of our Firewheel jobs were 65” and 75” mounts. Now most new installations are 85”+. Price drop on 85” panels has been dramatic, and the room sizes in Firewheel homes (typical great room: 18x20+) absolutely accommodate them. If you’re planning a new TV purchase and have a Firewheel great room, 85” minimum. 98” if the wall supports it.

Outdoor entertainment is a real category. The newer Firewheel homes — especially those built by the Highland Homes and Drees Custom Homes communities — often have significant outdoor living: covered patios, built-in kitchens, pool decks. We do a lot of SunBriteTV and Samsung Terrace outdoor TV installs out here, plus landscape speaker systems that let you run audio from the indoor system to the pool area.

Common Firewheel Projects

Real examples of the kind of work we do in this area (details changed for privacy):

85” fireplace mount with in-wall HDMI routing — Firewheel home off Castle Drive, open-concept great room, two-story with no attic access for cable routing. Solution: fished HDMI through the wall cavity using fish tape, installed a Datacomm recessed outlet kit behind the TV for a completely clean finish. 3 hours on-site, zero visible cables.

Full 5.1.4 Atmos system in a Firewheel media room — Bonus room over the garage, common in most homes in the area. Four overhead in-ceiling Atmos speakers, in-wall front three speakers, dual SVS subwoofers positioned to smooth out the bass response for two rows of seating. Calibrated with Audyssey XT32 using the Audyssey Editor app.

Outdoor TV and landscape speakers for pool deck — New construction Firewheel home with covered patio and pool. SunBriteTV Veranda 3 series mounted to the patio cover frame, paired with six Sonance Landscape speakers placed around the pool perimeter. Ran audio through a Sonos Amp inside the house for zone-based control.

Sonos whole-home audio, seven zones — Firewheel home with pre-wired structured cabling from the builder. Added Sonos amps in the AV closet for each zone: kitchen ceiling, dining room, office, master bedroom, master bath, covered patio, and pool deck. Single app controls every zone independently.

Why We Focus on Firewheel

Firewheel homeowners tend to do research before they buy. You’re not calling us because we showed up in a Google ad — you’re calling because you read through our service pages and our approach matches how you think. That’s exactly the client we do best with.

We know the neighborhoods, the builders, the common construction challenges, and the HOA realities (the Heritage at Firewheel HOA in particular has rules about exterior-visible satellite dishes and outdoor speakers — we handle the permission letter process).

Nearby Neighborhoods We Serve

In addition to Firewheel, we cover Camelot just north, Duck Creek to the west, Eastern Hills south, and the Lake Ray Hubbard waterfront communities to the east. All of these neighborhoods have distinct construction characteristics, and we adapt our approach based on which subdivision we’re working in.
